The Rail Ghent Terneuzen project organisation consists of the cross-border port authority North Sea Port and rail operators ProRail (NL) and Infrabel (BE). ProRail works on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Infrabel works for the Belgian Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport. Within the project, North Sea Port has a coordinating role as a cross-border port authority. Over the next few years the project organisation will investigate how to improve the rail network between Ghent and Terneuzen.
Our project team consists of experts from North Sea Port, ProRail, Infrabel, and TUC RAIL. TUC RAIL is a subsidiary of Infrabel and is in charge of the studies, programme management and follow-up of the works on behalf of Infrabel. The project team consists of project managers, engineers, environmental advisers, technical specialists, lawyers, communication advisers and financial experts. We will coordinate the studies and keep the vicinity informed about the project.
The Belgian-Dutch administrative steering committee keeps the overview and ensures that everything runs smoothly at an administrative level. It makes important decisions, sets priorities and ensures that goals are met. It regularly discusses progress to ensure the project stays on track.
